The offer of new technological products (media players, smart phones, integrated TV cameras, etc.) on the consumer market continues to evolve. In the next few years, these devices will also be part of the vehicle and will be able to share their capabilities via the telematics platform of the car, guaranteeing seamless integration in different mobility scenarios. Integration of consumer devices will be afforded adopting the current and future communication standard decreed by the consumer market  Examples include streaming of audio digital music files from the media player to the telematics device of the car using A2DP (Advanced Audio Digital Profile) or voice reproduction of the text of an e-mail received via the user’s smart phone. Also the next generation of cabs will have to be designed with specific housings to host these new nomadic devices.
