The biomaterials represent an alternative for the development of new components for the car. The use of biopolymers, or plastic rather than arising from oil obtained from renewable plant resources, may lead to an improvement in environmental products.
In addition, the combined use of reinforcements type of plant (hemp, flax, etc ...) with these polymers or biopolymers derived from recycling processes, leading to the creation of biocompositi allowing a reduction in the weight of components, improved acoustics and thermal, as well as a potential reduction in costs. These materials can be processed with traditional production systems such as injection molding for complex shapes and high productivity, or compression molding for simple shapes such as panels.
