Innovative compact rear suspension architecture, patented by CRF, that optimizes the suspension balance between comfort and handling.
The solution is based on a conventional, low cost, rear suspension trailing arm layout enhanced by the application of a “pendular hub”. This suspension is full compliance with rear wheel steer-drive systems. A demonstrator vehicle with the “evoluted link” installed on the rear axle was developed to verify that all the predicted targets were achieved and to manage the final tuning.
