On board navigation systems grant a quick time to start for the user, also in the case of wrong maneuvers done by the user, but they elaborate solutions for route and for time based on static data stored in map database.

Off Board dynamic navigation systems grant a dynamic route that takes care of real traffic conditions, but they have a big initial delay due to the time needed to exchange informations with the remote server, before they are able to give a navigation solution to the user. They also need a download of a new route if the user doesn’t follow correctly the navigation instructions.

The solution proposed puts together the advantages of both navigation systems described before. It will be able to give an immediate response to the user, that will be then evaluated and optimized by the remote server. The in-car client will ask to the server to verify if the route used is still the best solution to reach the defined destination.
